Highway bookkeepers excel at examinations

An Awards Ceremony was held a Café Au Lait in Hillcrest on Monday 1 Dec 2008. Successful Bookkeeping and Financial Accounting students from the Highway area were awarded their internationally recognized certificates issued by City & Guilds UK.

The students had attended Ace Academy – a local private college in the Kloof area. Ace Academy has been an authorized training centre for City & Guilds UK for over 18 years.
Ace Academy provides quality and practical tuition in Bookkeeping and Financial Accounting where the emphasis is increasing personal confidence to perform more effectively in a business environment. Students came from all walks of life – business owners wanting to improve their financial interpretation, students wanting to start their own bookkeeping service business, as well as those seeking employment as a bookkeeper.

A carnival atmosphere was evident as students reunited with fellow course participants. The guest speakers were Dr. Anthony and Michelle Van Tonder from the Family Life Change Centre, Pretoria who talked about finding one’s purpose in life and having an Attitude that Creates Excellence both in the business and the family environment. Ace Academy has a close relationship with the Family Life Change Centre, as the ability to earn income is a vital element for establishing family security.
